What We Believe
Truly great art is that which builds up, encourages, and inspires, and that entertainment is benefited by wholesome principles and values. |
Live theatre provides an interactive, multi-disciplinary, multi-generational format in which to gain skills, confidence, friendships, and a greater appreciation for the arts. |
Our name
The name “Fine Linen” references the scripture in Revelation 19:8 in which fine linen symbolizes the garment of the church. It represents being clothed in Christ, and is referred to as the righteous acts of the saints. Fine Linen Theatre's desire is that every aspect of what we present to the community bring honor to the Lord.
our history
Fine Linen Theatre was established in 2002 when a group of homeschooled children and their families adapted a script, rented a theatre, and produced a simple show. Through the years the group has grown to a thriving community organization reaching the greater Rolla and central Missouri region with a mission to create wholesome, quality entertainment and education. Anyone who shares Fine Linen's vision of building relationships and community through collaborative art is encouraged to audition and/or volunteer.
What We Do
Fine Linen typically produces a large play/musical in the spring each year, and then as time allows will supplement with smaller shows and youth productions at another times during the year. Each show is carefully chosen to not only provide great entertainment, but also to provide morally conservative theatre of integrity. Ticket prices are kept as low as possible to encourage those of all ages to attend and appreciate the joys of live theater.
