Fine Linen Theatre is all grown up and ready for a home of its own!
During the past 20 years we have matured to a thriving community theatre organization serving the broader Rolla and central Missouri region. It is all thanks to the support of our incredible community.

Rehearsing in various borrowed and temporary locations and squeezing our expanding stock of costumes, sets, props and tech equipment in random rental spaces, garages, closets, and spare bedrooms is no longer a sustainable model.
It became time for Fine Linen to have a home...a physical space in Rolla for the operational components of our organization to inhabit.

We Have A Home! Renovations next.
As of Oct 2024, we have purchased the former Vessell’s Fitness Center. It beautifully satisfies our goals and needs!
Compared to our former new-construction plans, this is lower cost, has more space, and is already equipped with much of what we need. Perhaps most significantly, we are able to start using it immediately!
We will do some modest renovation to open up a large rehearsal room and change four racquetball courts into seven large studio and shop spaces.

- 14,000 sq ft total renovated space
- 2000 sq ft x 20 ft tall rehearsal hall
- Dedicated rooms for dance studio, choir/orchestra studio, art studi, construction shop, costume shop, kitchen/lounge, set, prop, and tech storage
WHY IS NOW THE TIME TO DONATE:
Fine Linen has purchased the building and is using it, but still needs funds to complete essential renovations. The Chymiak Family Foundation has generously put forward a new $150K matching grant toward finishing the project; this $300K, along with the $400K already raised will enable us to finish paying for the building and the essential renovations.

A 2nd phase of renovations will allow us to further utilize space in the building and implement additional safety features as well. With an extra $100K we can do this as well.

We have secured a Neighborhood Assistance Program Grant that matches business donations in tax credits - a $2K gift gains us $4K and only costs the business $1K because of these tax credits! This grant expires at the end of 2024.
